Generative AI meets online search with SearchGPT, OpenAI’s new baby that is set to redefine and take ChatGPT capabilities to the next level.
SearchGPT is intended to provide up-to-date information while simultaneously referring users to relevant sources – all through a text interface that leverages the same kind of natural language communication familiar to users of ChatGPT. Business media has touted it be a one-of-a-kind search engine, which will give quick and prompt responses to queries, as demanded by the prompter. However, OpenAI is of the opinion that this search engine will give the option for users to search the content in a much more natural and intuitive way, as opposed to other search engines, that rather follow a rigid protocol.

Scotch whiskey, art, and AI are amalgamating to provide whiskey lovers a once-in-a-lifetime experience to design their own Johnnie Walker Blue label bottles in collaboration with Scottish artist Scott Naismith. Diageo, owners of Johnnie Walker, are touting the initiative as a generative AI-powered experience, where buyers can answer three simple questions that will influence key themes in Scott’s work, ultimately impacting their bottle design. The simple prompts will generate various colours, locations, artistic styles, and times of day, resulting in a unique bottle that will be printed in real-time.
The experience is part of ‘Project Halo’, a Diageo Breakthrough Innovation that allows brands and consumers to co-create personalized label designs and artwork. The project leverages Amazon’s Titan bedrock model, which ensures the ethical protection of artist work while allowing consumers to co-create designs. Currently available at the Edinburgh location, the experience is set to run from August 1-31 2024.

The cat is out of the bag! According to industry forecasts, every federal department will have a CAIO. Aimed at strategic planning, business transformation and leveraging generative AI for customer success and business growth, CAIOs are the hottest new title in C-suite job postings. The secret sauce for an AI-enabled business is said to be the handshake between a CAIO and CDO — while the CDO provides data, the CAIO brings technical knowledge to the table, making it slightly a slightly more indispensable role. In the race between data quantity and data quality, the latter is a sure shot winner.
