Supermarket chain Tesco’s to-go food is rather popular. However, the company is planning to leverage AI insights from its partner — Dunnhumby as a pilot at 30 of its stores to fine-tune its food offerings.
The trial will see foods such as yoghurt, porridge, fruit, new protein ranges as well as convenience meal pots and heated options laid out in more prominent areas of store.
Tesco managing director of UK stores Kevin Tindall told the title that the move looks to improve the shopping experience for customers, using “insight to give them more of what they like”.
He added that both the range and layout will be tailored “specifically for customers’ on the move”.
